Pokemon GO Reveals Part 2 Content for Halloween 2025 Event
Niantic reveals the second part of its annual Halloween event for Pokemon GO, adding new encounters and more later this month. As a live service title on mobile, Pokemon GO is constantly seeing new updates and limited-time events to keep its player base engaged, and real world holidays are a big part of that schedule.
Each October, Pokemon GO holds a special Halloween event, typically adding a new quest line, Pokemon with special outfits, while placing a greater emphasis on Dark and Ghost types. For example, last year saw Froakie sporting a witch hat, while Rowlet could spawn with a top hat. Better yet, their evolutionary chains would keep the unique style as well. That trend is set to continue later this month, as Niantic lays out its plans for Halloween 2025.
Pokemon GO Halloween Event Part 2 Details
Earlier this week, Pokemon GO players got a glimpse of the first part of the event, the new encounters and this year’s costumed creatures. However, this isn’t the end, as Niantic has confirmed part 2 of the Halloween event, which begins on Monday, October 27 and runs through November 2. Teddiursa and Noibat will be the costumed Pokemon during part 2, with the former getting the witch hat, while the latter sporting a headband. As expected, their evolved forms will also keep the costumed look.
As expected, there will be event bonuses running during the event, including costumed Pokemon having a small chance to give Rare Candy and Rare Candy XL when caught with Nice Throws or better. New Field Research Tasks will be available, as well as Major Milestones and bonuses for the Halloween GO Pass. One and Three-Star Raids will also have Halloween-dressed Pokemon in them, such as Tricks & Treats Gengar, and Halloween Mischief Drifblim, Pikachu, and Piplup. Shadow Raids in Pokemon GO will feature Yamask and Phantump.
Following in the annual tradition from past Halloween events in Pokemon GO, a remixed version of the classic Lavender Town theme from the original Pokemon games on the Game Boy will also be playing each night. Not only that, players will notice that Pokemon encounter stages, PokeStops, and Gyms will all be decorated for the holiday as well. For those who want a bit more, the in-game store will have new items, including a Polteageist Hat for their avatar and event-themed stickers.
